Armed police respond at Wellington apartments after person falls from balcony

According to a statement from the New Zealand Police, emergency services were called to the complex at approximately 3:35 pm.

The person who fell is reported to have sustained moderate injuries.

Police confirmed that armed officers attended the scene “as a precaution”.
At this stage, further details — including whether the gunshot report is accurate or how the fall occurred — are still under investigation.
