The highly anticipated Season 1 of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone is set to drop on December 4, bringing an exciting array of content for players across all modes. Activision has revealed a comprehensive roadmap that includes new maps, weapons, seasonal events, and more, all designed to enhance the Black Ops 7 and Warzone experience. From new integrations to festive holiday events, this season promises to deliver plenty of action and fresh content for fans of the series.

New Content Across Black Ops 7 and Warzone

With Season 1, Black Ops 7 will fully integrate into Warzone, allowing players to experience the latest game in the franchise alongside the fan-favorite battle royale mode. This season will also feature a new battle pass, offering both free and premium tiers, along with DLC weapons, exciting seasonal events, and new multiplayer maps.

Activision’s commitment to adding more layers of gameplay extends beyond just maps and weapons. The Endgame mode from the campaign will receive new world events, including massive boss fights, ensuring there’s no shortage of action for solo players and teams alike.

Seasonal Events to Look Forward To

As part of the new season, Season 1 will kick off with the Rally Point event, a community-driven initiative where players can unlock cosmetic rewards simply by participating. This event will be available across all game modes, including the Endgame campaign mode.

Later in the season, a Naughty and Nice holiday event will add some festive fun, with players able to earn unique rewards. The seasonal spirit will continue throughout the season, ensuring a lively and rewarding experience for everyone.

Battle Pass: New Operators and Premium Content

For the first time, Black Ops 7 will introduce a battle pass, packed with over 100 unlockable rewards. Players will be able to earn both free and premium content, with the premium pass unlocking the new operator Alden Dorne, along with a special variant skin if the pass is completed.

The $30 BlackCell pass will also make its return, offering the Scorn operator unlock and a collection of additional cosmetics to customize your character.

New Weapons in Season 1

Season 1 introduces a host of new weapons for players to unlock. Two of these will be available through the free tiers of the battle pass, while others can be earned through in-game challenges. Among the new weapons are:

  • Kogot-7 SMG: A renamed version of the classic MP7, making its debut in Black Ops 7.
  • Maddox RFB: The beloved Maddox assault rifle from Black Ops 4 returns, much to the delight of fans.

In addition to these, later in the season, players will be able to unlock the Ballistic Knife, the Sokol 545 LMG, the NX Ravager crossbow, the HX sniper rifle, and the Sturmwolf 45 SMG. These new weapons will provide a fresh level of variety and power to combat, ensuring that no two battles feel the same.

New Multiplayer Maps: Fresh and Remastered Locations

Season 1 adds seven new maps to the multiplayer experience, mixing fresh designs with remastered favorites from past titles. Some of the new maps include:

  • Fate: A mind-bending map inspired by the Time and Fate campaign mission, featuring fractured and floating building pieces in a city in Nicaragua.
  • Odysseus: Another map inspired by the campaign, set in a sprawling futuristic setting.
  • Utopia: A high-tech, Australian-based facility set in a dystopian future.
  • Yakei: A small map designed for 6v6 and 2v2 modes, set on the rooftops of a neon-lit Japanese city.

The season also brings back classic maps, such as Meltdown and Standoff from Black Ops 2, along with Fringe from Black Ops 3, ensuring that long-time fans will recognize some familiar battlegrounds. For a holiday twist, Hijacked will receive a special holiday-themed makeover, adding festive flair to the classic map.

New Multiplayer Game Modes

Season 1 also introduces several exciting game modes, including Prop Hunt, One in the Chamber, and Sharpshooter, all available at launch. Following later in the season, Sticks and Stones and Gun Game will make their return to Black Ops 7.

A new mode, Takeover, will arrive as part of the midseason update. This mode combines elements of Domination and Hardpoint, where two teams of six fight to control three neutral zones across the map. After controlling all three zones, the areas will reset and move to new locations, giving the match a dynamic flow.

For holiday cheer, a limited-time snowball fight game mode will also make its debut, offering a fun and unique twist on combat by replacing guns with snowballs.

Zombies: A Brand-New Map and Returning Perks

Zombies fans have much to look forward to as well, with Astra Malorum, a brand-new map that takes players to a skull-shaped rock in space. Players will face off against a new robot enemy, O.S.C.A.R., and wield a new LGM-1 Wonder Weapon that launches UFO-shaped projectiles.

Additionally, the Mule Kick perk makes its return, along with several field upgrades like Shatter Blast, Tesla Storm, Mr. Peeks, and Frost Blast. The midseason update will also introduce survival maps, including Exit 115 and Zarya Cosmodrome.

Warzone: New Map and POIs

Warzone will also receive new content as part of the Season 1 update. A brand-new Haven’s Hollow resurgence map will arrive, set in the town of Liberty Falls from Black Ops 6’s Zombies mode, but pre-outbreak. The main battle royale map, Verdansk, will see the addition of two new points of interest (POIs): Factory and Signal Station. While Factory offers a large, nondescript building next to Superstore, Signal Station provides additional objectives for players to earn extra intel.

In addition, Black Ops 7’s weapons and attachments will be integrated into Warzone, and perk changes will be implemented to keep the battle royale experience fresh.
