PM Hun Manet: Royal Government Will Not Leave Any Cambodian Citizen Behind
Prime Minister Hun Manet has reaffirmed that the Royal Government of Cambodia will not leave any citizen behind, emphasizing national unity as the country faces ongoing challenges.
The prime minister made the remarks on January 31, 2026, during a visit with displaced residents at the Wat Bak Kam Safety Center in Tbeng Meanchey district, Preah Vihear province. He said the hardships experienced by families forced to flee their homes were shared by the entire nation.

“The suffering of our people is the suffering of Cambodia as a whole,” Hun Manet said, adding that from the King to ordinary citizens, all Cambodians feel concern and compassion for those affected.
He thanked citizens across the country and Cambodians living abroad for their solidarity over the past six months, noting strong public support for the armed forces, national police, and military families.
Hun Manet called on the public to maintain unity in all circumstances, saying national cohesion is the country’s greatest strength, particularly during difficult times.
At the same time, the prime minister said Cambodia would continue to protest what it views as Thailand’s use of military force to violate Cambodia’s territorial integrity, stressing that the government will not remain silent in defending national sovereignty.
