Man Utd’s Dream Attack: Endrick Move Could Complete Amorim’s Frontline

22 October 2025

Manchester United are reportedly positioning themselves for an audacious January swoop for Real Madrid’s Brazilian prodigy, Endrick, in a move that could reshape their attacking future and fulfil comparisons to Cristiano Ronaldo.

The 19-year-old forward, often hailed as ‘the next Ronaldo’ in his homeland, is reportedly growing frustrated with limited first-team opportunities at the Bernabéu. Despite joining the Spanish giants for a staggering £52 million in 2022—officially arriving in 2024 upon turning 18—Endrick has struggled to break into a Real Madrid side stacked with elite forwards, including Kylian Mbappe, Vinicius Jr., and Jude Bellingham.

A Star in Waiting

Endrick’s early promise has already earned him international caps for Brazil, further fueling the hype surrounding his potential. But under Xabi Alonso, competition has been fierce, and sources suggest the teenager may seek a move away if his situation doesn’t improve soon.

According to The Sunday People, Endrick has informed his representatives he could push for a January exit, alerting several European giants—including Manchester United.

Amorim’s Vision: A Modern Front Three

New United manager Ruben Amorim is understood to be a major admirer of Endrick and sees him as a key piece in his evolving attacking system. If a deal materialises, Endrick could be deployed centrally, acting as a creative forward who is just as capable of dropping deep as he is leading the line.

This role would allow the likes of Matheus Cunha and Antoine Semenyo to operate freely alongside him, creating a fluid front three that could pose a nightmare for Premier League defences.

“Endrick’s ability to roam and drag defenders out of position mirrors the approach we saw from Cunha against Liverpool,” an insider close to the club revealed. “He wouldn’t be a traditional target man like Sesko but could offer something more dynamic.”

Cunha on the Right: Flexibility in Attack

Matheus Cunha, who joined United for £62.5 million earlier this year, has showcased his adaptability, functioning as a centre-forward, a second striker, and even a right-sided attacker. In this imagined frontline, Amorim could push Cunha slightly right of Endrick, forming a Brazilian partnership with strong national-team chemistry.

Amorim’s previous systems at Sporting often featured asymmetrical wide players, with one winger holding width and the other tucking in. Cunha’s comfort in deeper, roaming roles could open up new avenues of attack for United.

The move would also impact current starters like Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo, who have both been regularly featured this season. Mbeumo, a £65m summer signing from Brentford, has impressed on the right, but competition is heating up.

Antoine Semenyo: The Final Piece?

One of the most intriguing names linked with United is Bournemouth’s explosive winger Antoine Semenyo, whose pace and direct play have made him one of the Premier League’s standout performers this season. With six goals already and a market value reportedly north of £75 million, Semenyo would not come cheap—but United are watching closely.

If United do manage to land Semenyo, Amorim could field a front three of Semenyo (left), Endrick (centre), and Cunha (right). This setup offers both width and versatility, with Semenyo’s raw speed balancing Cunha’s playmaking tendency and Endrick’s movement.

Such a move would likely push Mbeumo to the bench, a tough call considering his performances, but necessary if Amorim wants to rotate his squad for different tactical setups.

Squad Depth and Tactical Variability

Amorim’s squad could benefit significantly from the arrival of Endrick—not just for his star potential, but for the depth and tactical flexibility he brings.

Benjamin Sesko could continue as a direct striking option off the bench, while players like Amad Diallo and Mbeumo offer alternatives for wider positions or counter-attacking scenarios.

This level of squad depth is something United have lacked in recent years and may prove critical as they compete on multiple fronts, including a potential return to the Champions League next season.

Transfer Speculation Heating Up

While there’s no official confirmation from either club, the transfer rumours are gaining traction. Endrick’s camp has remained silent, and Real Madrid have yet to issue a statement, but with January approaching, pressure is building.

A high-profile move to Old Trafford would not only reunite Endrick with familiar faces from the Brazil setup but also place him under the spotlight in one of football’s most intense environments—just like Cristiano Ronaldo once experienced in his early Manchester United days.

If the comparisons hold any weight, this could be the beginning of a new legacy.
