Olympic values inspire Kep students at “Sport for All 2025”

Students in Kep, Cambodia, found inspiration and energy at the recent two-day celebration of Sport for All 2025, where the spirit of the Olympic movement came alive.

Organized under the guidance of National Olympic Committee of Cambodia (NOCC), the event aimed to introduce young people to sports, teamwork and the core values of Olympism — excellence, respect and friendship.

More than a sports festival, “Sport for All 2025” offered students a chance to experience what sport can do beyond competition: foster discipline, build character and nurture community. Through various games, training sessions and fun-oriented activities, many participants said they felt motivated and more confident.

The program reflects a broader push in Cambodia — and globally — to make physical activity accessible and to embed sport within education and youth development. Initiatives like this highlight how, through sport, young people can grow not only physically but also socially and ethically.

As the students wrapped up the two-day event, many expressed renewed enthusiasm: some discovered new sports they enjoyed, others found camaraderie and a sense of belonging, and a few vowed to keep exercising — perhaps for life
