Assassin’s Creed Mirage Expands with Free “Valley of Memory” Story DLC on November 18
October 7, 2025
In celebration of its second anniversary, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is getting a major content update. Ubisoft has officially announced Valley of Memory, a free story expansion launching on November 18, available to all existing owners of the game across all platforms.

The update promises up to six hours of new gameplay, set in a previously unexplored region of the game world, alongside numerous system upgrades and quality-of-life improvements. With a fresh narrative, new mechanics, and deeper customizations, Valley of Memory aims to revitalize the Mirage experience for both newcomers and long-time fans.
A New Journey in the Heart of Ancient AlUla
Set before the climactic events of the main story, Valley of Memory follows Basim as he uncovers rumors suggesting that his long-lost father may still be alive in the region of AlUla—a valley steeped in history, danger, and hidden secrets. His search soon becomes a larger mission, as the area faces threats from a violent group of desert robbers.
Ubisoft has introduced an entirely new map for this expansion, rich with iconic landmarks including:
- The Old Town of AlUla
- Musa Ibn Musayr Fortress
- The Valley of the Stones
- And the haunting Necropolis of Hegra
Players will need to navigate ambush-laden paths and use stealth, strategy, and parkour to survive the perilous desert terrain.
Fresh Features and Enhanced Gameplay
Valley of Memory doesn’t just add new content—it upgrades the core Mirage experience with new mechanics that enhance playability and replayability:
✅ Replayable Missions and Animus Challenges
All black box missions and contracts, both in the base game and DLC, will now be replayable. These missions will come with optional challenges—such as completing objectives without Eagle Vision, remaining undetected, or finishing within a time limit. Players who take on these objectives will unlock exclusive in-game rewards.
🏃 Parkour Overhaul
Ubisoft is doubling down on Mirage’s classic movement system. New parkour mechanics include:
- Manual jump toggle to link custom parkour sequences
- Enhanced control schemes for smoother movement
- Updated side and back ejects, now available without specific landing requirements
These tweaks promise a freer and more creative parkour experience across Baghdad and AlUla alike.
⚙️ Tools & Skill Tree Upgrades
Basim’s abilities are also getting a boost. A new skill—Engineer 2—lets players equip all Level 1 tool modifications, while Level 3 mods are being introduced for each tool. These additions offer more strategic flexibility in how you approach stealth, combat, and exploration.
🎮 New Difficulty Options
Two additional difficulty levels will be added, giving players more control over how intense or relaxed their gameplay experience is.
A Global Ubisoft Effort
The Valley of Memory expansion has been developed collaboratively by multiple Ubisoft studios, including Bordeaux, Paris, Bucarest, Da Nang, and Montpellier. This reflects Ubisoft’s ongoing investment in the Assassin’s Creed franchise, with Mirage continuing to receive meaningful updates two years after its release.
The base game and upcoming DLC are available across multiple platforms, including PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, iOS, Amazon Luna, and Ubisoft+. The expansion will be delivered as a free update on November 18.
A Return to Form for Assassin’s Creed
Assassin’s Creed Mirage was initially praised for returning the franchise to its stealth-action roots, offering a more focused and narrative-driven experience reminiscent of earlier titles like Assassin’s Creed II and Brotherhood. With Valley of Memory, Ubisoft appears to be reinforcing that vision—while also expanding its storytelling and gameplay possibilities.
Whether you’re jumping in for the first time or returning for another journey with Basim, November 18 is shaping up to be a pivotal moment in the Mirage saga.
